EMAIL: linda@localhunger.org Linda is a native of Jacksonville, Florida. She graduated from Robert E. Lee, raised her three boys, and had a successful career there. Her career started in the early 60's in banking and after 20 years she changed to the brokerage business, where she was the operations manager at E F Hutton until 1984. A move to Prudential Securities led her to financial advisor and manager of accounts until 1996. Linda attended Jacksonville University and Emory University to complete all training to further her career in both banking and brokerage. Retiring in 1996 due to an illness, Linda and her husband Dan, followed a dream of selling their home and buying a recreational vehicle to travel the US. For the next eight years they traveled and enjoyed meeting and living in different cultures. This gave them the desire to reach out to help those in need. They visited food banks across the country making distributions for World Hunger Ltd. Linda joined Jim in 2000 as Administration Director of World Hunger, and now is looking to realize the dream of growing the charity so that more people will benefit, and communities will join together to help eliminate local hunger in all states. |
