History

Local Hunger, Ltd. began as an effort to help feed the hungry in Atlanta, GA. Three local businessmen saw an opportunity to use their manufacturing / marketing business as a platform to launch a charity to fight hunger. A small vendor outreach program was created and immediately began to see positive results.
The charity became a 501 (c) 3 organization in August, 1992. The original vendor outreach program has been in operation for more than 13 years, and has focused on helping the cause of fighting local hunger in more than 30 states where funds are generated through the vendor outreach program.
Today, Local Hunger, Ltd. continues to fight hunger through vendor outreach. We are also pursuing new and creative ways to expand our hunger fighting programs (see "Programs" page).
